Christmas Tree Recycling Helps More Than the Environment

Instead of tossing your live Christmas tree in the garbage bin, why not consider donating it to the Camp Prime Time recycling program to help fund its recreational facility for families with disabled and seriously ill children? The non-profit organization has offered its services near Clear Lake for the last 34 years.
“Christmas tree recycling was not the camp’s idea,” Ralph Berthon, one of the Camp’s co-founders, honorary board member and now volunteer, said.
The idea was birthed from a friend of Berthon’s who worked for Pacific Power and Light (PP&L), which was considering tree recycling. …
