2020 Turkey Trot: All Virtual FUNdraising Event! (Nov. 1-Dec. 6)

Preferred Run/Walk Date: Thanksgiving Day (26th)

This is your chance to walk/run a 5K before indulging in your big Thanksgiving meal and raise support for Camp Prime Time. Challenge your family and friends to join your effort. TEAMwork encouraged!

Preferred Day: Thursday, November 26, 2020 – Thanksgiving Day!
Or, Take Time Between November 1, and December 6, 2020

Registration Fee: Adults $25 Youth $10 (age 15 and under)

  • Turkey Trot is a family & friends oriented non-sanctioned 5K run/walk.
  • Thanksgiving morning is the preferred date and time, yet we want people to exercise for CPT when their schedule permits. Get off the couch and enjoy a fun, physical activity Thanksgiving morning!
  • We ask you, our CPT friends, guest families, and past participants to: sign up ($25 Adult, $10 Youth (Age 15 & under))
  • Invite/challenge your friends
  • Get others to join your effort and hold the event at home
  • Ask others to pledge to your per kilometer run/walk effort

Highlights and Information

  • Registrants receive: collapsible water bottle, number bib, & participation medal.
  • Pledge Sign-up Form: Invite others to pledge support to your effort. Let’s see who can raise the most funding from their running!
  • Prizes For: (Pictures, wearing your number bibs, required for consideration) Best Costume (Youth, Adult, & Group). Fundraising (Pledge) Champions (Youth, Adult, & Group).

This event has a long history of collaborating with the Yakima Greenway. However, in going ‘Virtual’, we are venturing this direction on our own. Support of The Greenway is still encouraged and we wish them well.

Christmas Tree Recycling

December 26, 2020- January 10, 2021
8:00am – 5:00pm (daily)
at Washington Tractor, 3110 Fruitvale Blvd, Yakima

After Christmas recycle your live Christmas tree by taking it to Washington Tractor which keeps it out of the landfill. Drop off your tree, and your donation to Camp Prime Time who provides this eco-friendly service! Remove all ornaments and lights from your tree. Financial donations are accepted to benefit Camp Prime Time.

Volunteers that wish to work at tree chipping may contact the Camp Prime Time office at 509-248-2854 to sign up to help during tree chipping!

This service is provided by the volunteers for Camp Prime Time, Washington Tractor, Pacific Power, Trickinnex Tree Trimming & Falling, LLC, Cliff’s Septic, City of Yakima and Yakima County Public Services, Solid Waste Division, All American Propane, and Yakima Theatres.

Spring Work Parties at Camp

It’s time to clean up camp and get it ready for our 2021 Camp Season. And we need your help!

There’s cleaning, scrubbing, mopping, window washing, wood cutting, raking, leaf blowing, bleaching, organizing, painting, moving, repairing, digging, laughing, eating … AND SO MUCH MORE. You won’t want to miss out. Plan to bring your own tools, brooms, shovels, rakes, work gloves, anything you think you might need to get a job done.

Biennial Dinner & Auction

November 2021

Every other year, the Yakima and camp community come together for this gala event. Its purpose is to raise awareness and support for camp operations. Fellowship and memories are bonuses. Planning begins a year in advance, donated items are encouraged, and tickets go fast.  Place it on your calendar!
